  • The existing knob is cracked, broken, or stripped.
  • The knob no longer stays attached to the timer shaft.

  • Disconnect the dryer from its power source before beginning the repair.
  • Align the D-shaped opening on the knob with the flat side of the timer's metal shaft.
  • Press the knob firmly onto the shaft until it is fully seated. No tools are required.
